The Daily Telegraph reports that on Sunday an Australian man was taken to the hospital at 3 a.m. with 16 washers lodged on the shaft of his penis. Washers—normally used to fasten nuts—no pun intended—are usually “used under the head” according to Bolt Depot. (That pun definitely intended).

The man went into surgery at 4:30 a.m. where the surgeons attempted to remove the washers using a ring remover, normally used on fingers. Because of the thickness of the washers, the apparatus did not work. The fire brigade was then called in for the use of their equipment—on his equipment. After another 90 minutes, the washers were off and the man was physically fine. No word yet on how his pride is recovering.
